Our Grandson

A Tribute to our grandson

Some people seem to be born with an inner compass — a quiet determination guiding them toward a life of purpose. Our grandson is one of those rare souls. From the moment he could read, he was on a journey — one fueled by imagination, discipline, and quiet confidence that never sought attention, but always earned admiration.

As a young boy, He devoured the entire Harry Potter series, not just for entertainment, but as a window into worlds of courage, loyalty, and destiny. That early love of books revealed a mind that was hungry to learn — a quality that has never left him.

In high school, He taught himself to play bass and quickly joined bands, finding rhythm and connection through music. But his talents didn’t stop there. After graduation, he chose to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force. There, he became a jet mechanic — working on massive aircraft, learning systems most would find daunting. His only mishap? A thumb injury during a brake change — a minor mark on an otherwise spotless record of service and discipline.

Even while serving, He stayed in motion. He took college courses, pushing forward with his education. After his service ended, he completed his degree and set his sights on becoming a Physician Assistant, inspired by his experiences in medicine and emergency care. But when acceptance into PA programs proved slow, He didn’t wait around. He dove headfirst into the ER — working tirelessly while also driving ambulances. Two demanding jobs, yet he never complained.

Amid the chaos of medical shifts and patient care, a different dream began to take shape — one that had quietly followed him since childhood: flying. With encouragement from a friend and fueled by the GI Bill, He began flight school. True to form, he juggled it all — continuing both jobs while earning his flight instructor certification.

Today, He is on the cusp of achieving another milestone: entry into United Airlines' feeder program, a path that will soon put him in the cockpit of commercial jets. He now instructs others, passing on his knowledge with patience and professionalism, while still working in the ER — a symbol of his unmatched work ethic.

What sets him apart isn’t just his many accomplishments — it’s the way he carries them. He is athletic, lifting weights, running, and staying sharp since grade school. He is kind, approachable, humble — the kind of person people naturally want to follow. He never brags, never boasts. He simply does the work, every single day.

His story is one of grit, grace, and gratitude. He is a protector, a builder, and a dreamer who never stops climbing. To know him is to admire him. To be part of his family is to be proud beyond measure.

He is a testament to what quiet strength and relentless perseverance can achieve. Your journey is already remarkable — and the sky is just the beginning.
